I went to Florida State University. I graduated with a degree in communications and a minor in marketing. After I graduated undergrad, I went to law school at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama where I was very, very heavily involved in the trial advocacy program—I was the Chairman of the Board of Advocates, as well as I was the president of the Public Interest Law Association at my law school. As far as why I practice law, I grew up in a family of law enforcement. My father is a retired major with the Florida Highway Patrol, my brother is a current trooper with FHP in Tallahassee. So you know, being around the law in some way, shape or form my entire life has kind of pushed me into this field and sparked my interest in wanting to help people when they can’t necessarily help themselves and they don’t necessarily know what legal course of action to take in tough situations.
